It’s the big day, and we’re sending the best of the best: Carpet installation

At Seestedt’s, we’re not afraid to boast about our installers; they are the best at what they do in the region. They will ensure that your carpet flooring is installed well and power-stretched into place and that you will be satisfied with the result. Our goal is not just your satisfaction; it is that you will recommend us to friends, family, coworkers, and neighbors whenever you get the chance. Our sales associates are on the front end of that goal, and our installers bring that goal to a tidy conclusion.

So, what should you do to get ready for installation day?

Our sales associate will be happy to walk you through particulars when they are at your home measuring for the job, but the most important thing you can do is clear out any breakable objects, heirlooms, or sentimental pieces. We would hate for anything like that to be accidentally broken on the big day. Any small pieces, items from shelving, would be much appreciated. Our installers are used to moving furniture, but the more you can move ahead of time, the more swiftly the job will go.

What should I expect about the flooring installation process?

Before any rug is brought into your home and before any rug is taken up, our installers will double-check the measurements and walk you through the work areas to let you know their plans for the process. They may also ask you how you want them to handle trim in doorways, upholstery on stairways, etc. They may even offer you some suggestions, but the final decision is always yours.

What follows will seem like a flurry of activity. Your furniture will be moved out of the workspace, old carpet and padding will be removed, staples will be pulled up, and the floor swept before new padding is brought in. Once the new padding is installed, then you are ready for carpeting. There are three essential aspects to carpet installing: laying the rug out and cutting fill pieces, putting in seams, and stretching the carpet in place. We should note that while there is no such thing as an invisible seam, but our installers will get you so close to invisible as it gets.

After the installation?

Our installers will run a vacuum over the rug to pick up stray fuzz after everything is installed. Then they will put your furniture back where it goes and finish their cleanup. Before they leave, they will also give you the chance to do a final walkthrough to ensure you are pleased with their work.
